Blue Man Group celebrated its first anniversary of the show’s move to Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino last week.
Since the move, Blue Man Group has used:
- 2,124 Twinkies
- 18,585 marshmallows
- 2,655 gallons of paint
- 3,186 drum sticks
- 74,340 cubic feet of helium
- 272,934 feet of streamers
Before the show even begins, Blue Man Group takes fans on a luminescent-infused journey with a nightly parade on the casino floor. The performers launch a “percussipede,” or a musical centipede of percussion instruments, musicians, robots and puppets co-created with 3-D designer Michael Curry.
These same elements are later found in the production, along with a giant brain drum, a set of smoke drums and a Neuronulum, a pipe instrument.
Blue Man Group performs at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Monte Carlo Theatre.
